This idea came about from my discussions with my friends @sniperplushiecosplay and @galahadtoloveeggsy. We discussed various ideas of what Rey would look like if she were to become a Sith Mistress. We even bounced around ideas about what her Sith name/title would be. Darth Horder came up mainly in reference to Rey’s ability to scrounge through wreckage for useful items. Although, because there are no Sith Masters anymore in the current Star Wars timeline, perhaps she would join the Knights of Ren. Maybe, her name would become “Rey Ren”.
As for the outfit, that was mainly the design idea of SniperPlushie. The idea was that her attire would be similar to that of Darth Talon but her lightsaber would look a little more like her original staff. So, with the ideas written down, I contacted @stickymonart to help bring the idea to life. And I think he’s outdone himself with what he did with the lineart. The next challenge was to give it color but also to add in the background. Of which, I already had an idea for. I wanted Rey to be standing in front of a “sith throne” like a true mistress of the dark side. But even after laying down the steps and the throne, which took quite a lot of trial and error to get it to look right, it still needed something. And so, I decided to put in something to show how much to the Dark Side Rey had gone; the flag of the First Order.
And I dare say that I think it’s become a very good piece of work. My eternal thanks to StickyMon for the work that they did.
