JulyViolet - Animated Harem Tracer

It’s been a while, my faithful watchers, but here she is; Lena Oxton/Tracer as done by @julyviolet. When I had them do this piece, I knew what I wanted to have done.  I still remember the time around when Overwatch was about to be released and there was that firestorm around Tracer’s ass.  Granted, I know how jokes fade away so easily on the internet and people stop caring about them as “that’s so 5 minutes ago” but I still think it’s funny.

So, with #Buttgate in mind, I asked JulyViolet to do this one of Tracer where she’s looking at her ass and wondering what’s wrong with it.  When I was starting on it, I knew that I had a lot to do as far as the background was concerned.  For one, I knew that I not only had one version of Tracer to color but two of them in the mirror.  After laying out the strategy in my head, it was pretty easy to go from there.  The only thing that still bothered me about it was the colors for the walls in the room.  I do admit that I borrowed teh colors of Tracer’s apartment from the Overwatch comic where she comes back home after Christmas Shopping.

But even with those aspects done, I wanted to add something more to it to give it a little something extra. So I added some word bubbles to a dialogue that I felt would probably have happened, had Tracer known what was going on.

As for the second word bubble, well, I imagine that the Animated Harem is having a little fun of it’s own.

BlushMallet - Iron Mary Jane

In the most recent commissions that I made to @blushmallet, I had decided on something a little different.  This time, I decided upon something that I don’t think has gotten enough attention.  For those of you who are comic book fans, you might remember when Mary Jane Watson was offered a job by Tony Stark (Iron Man) to become the new “Iron Spider”.  A title and suit that was once held by Peter Parker during the Civil War event.  I felt that Mary Jane looked so cool and sexy in it that I wanted more art done of her. 

During the discussion with BlushMallet they mentioned an idea of having the robotic arms of the Iron Spider Suit peeling off the suit itself for her in a very suggestive fashion.  I liked the idea and told them to go ahead with it.  After it was done the coloring became the tricky part at the stage of the actual suit because I needed to make it look both metallic as well as fabric.  Hopefully in the way that I did it, the result was achieved. 

The next part was dealing with the background.  I had so many lovely ideas that I decided to do all of them.  The first being a clean background with the New York skyline.  The second being that background with the Spider-heart in the background as well.  The third looking like a comic book cover and finally one with a word bubble using Mary Jane’s signature phrase.

Amalgam Comics: Ameri Quinn NO. 1

I started working on this one day after going over my own comics collection.  I looked at the covers and thought to myself that perhaps I should take a crack at making a cover for my Amalgams.  So I pulled up the one that was done for me by @stickymonart and I had colored:  AmeriQuinn.  But because the original image was so small, I compiled the lines and colors and transferred them to a new Photoshop file and tinkered with it there. 

In the design of the cover, I basically looked over the covers for Harley Quinn as well as American Dream.  Thus the reason why the name logo looks like a mixture of the two.  I used a military-like font with stars and a red, white and blue color scheme.  Which did take a LOOOT of manipulation in Photoshop but I finally managed to get it right.

Psyconorikan - L and Misa - The Sweetest Thing

This is a comic that I had commissioned of Psyconorikan.  I always thought it’d be funny if something like this would happen in Death Note despite all the haters of Misa Amane (and really I don’t blame them).  In addition to that there are also a lot of the yaoi fans who’d be yelling that L and Light should be together.  Still, despite all that I still think that a setup like this would be very sweet and innocent.  That’s my opinion on the subject.

Archie-the-RedCat - TrueBlood vs Twilight - Jacob Black vs Sam Merlotte

This is the third installment of the Twilight vs Dead Until Dark comics that I had commissioned of Archie-The-RedCat.

Just like the first two, there was a lot to say about the “werewolves” of the Twilight series.  Especially this whole business of “Imprinting” which, when I read it, sounded like it bordered upon Pedophilia and Child Grooming.  And really despite a lot of the flaws that Sam Merlotte has at least he’s far more sane than what’s being done in the Twilight saga.

Archie-The-RedCat - Twilight vs True Blood - Edward Cullen vs Bill Compton

This was a piece that I had commissioned of Archie-The-RedCat. After the success of the first picture I decided that there needed to be a sequel.  Especially considering that there were a lot of things that could be said about Edward Cullen.  So, I gathered as much of the vampire information from the two series.  Although, in my research on the “vampires” of Twilight I saw that they were less and less like vampires that we all know and love.  That was when the revelation occurred to me that because of the fact that he sparkles in sunlight makes me think that he isn’t a vampire, he’s a fairy (a fae) with a diet quirk. What’s more I found out that supposedly Edward Cullen’s skin is crystalline and diamond-hard and the way he moves around is that he excretes a venomous bacteria that acts as a lubricant.  I’m not kidding nor am I making that up.  It’s too stupid to make up.  All of this was said by Stephanie Meyer herself.  This is the kind of thing that even people with Tourettes would say “No”.

But on the other hand it make for such great comedic fodder so I put it into the script before giving over the art to Archie-the-RedCat.

Archie-the-RedCat - Twilight vs Dead Until Dark - Sookie Stackhouse vs Bell Swan

This was a piece that I had commissioned of the artist named Archie-the-RedCat.  When I first started this I was inspired by a series of comics that were done by an artist named Shinga in which she did several parody comics about Twilight as well as its fandom.  And so I began writing up a script for a comic in which I pitted the characters of Dead Until Dark (True Blood) against Twilight. In a way I had set up the script similar to those commercials of “I’m a Mac and I’m a PC” in which both would present themselves and finally in the end one of them seems to have more sense than the other.
