JulyViolet - My Animated Harem Birthday Party

 I made a commission to JulyViolet a few months back.  I think it was around August or so because my birthday was in September.  And so, I decided to have something special done as far as art done.  Similar to how back in the 2000s I did an art piece where my favorite characters were around me throwing a birthday party for me.  This time, I decided to have my Animated Harem doing it for me and I knew that there should be a nude and a clothed version.  Probably the most expensive piece I've ever had commissioned.  

In coming up with the concept for this for JulyViolet, I already knew what I wanted to happen.  Basically Elsa would do the decorations, Tracer would be doing her victory pose, Maggie would have a present (definitely a book) ready, Aunt Cass would have a cake baked, Lilith would have the snacks, Zone-tan would be drinking a lot (according to her she can hold her liquor), and Samus would be bringing out the party game (DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS!).  

I was so ecstatic when it was finished but I knew that the real hard part of it was going to be the actual coloring.  But in doing this, I knew one really big thing I need to do; I need to get a proper desk and chair.  Sitting down for hours on end at a pub style dining table is no way to do this.  The first one I worked on was the nude one and then after that I went for the coloring piece.  At first I combined both the nude and clothed versions into one file but it was getting too damn big so I separated them out.  After finishing the nudes, I transplanted the layers and then worked on the clothes.  So the nude version has 271 layers and the clothed version has 331.  Of course, my friend, Hooksnfangs, protested this idea of, "Why have so many layers!?  Just merge them."  Why?  Just in case a mistake is made and I can go back and change it.  Especially if it's an issue of the color.  

And I would like to thank Hooksnfangs for helping with the background, making it balanced and not as crowded or distracting.

JulyViolet - Animated Harem Tracer is Pregnant

 Here we have the latest in the pregnancy Animated Harem series drawn by JulyViolet and colored by me.  Initially, when I started this series, I had BlushMallet as my collaborator but I had lost contact or couldn't get in contact with them enough to have it done but in retrospect, I think JulyViolet is much better at this.  So, I went with them to continue the series.  

In this series with Tracer, first we had the piece where she is very excited with her positive pregnancy test and now we see her several months down the line holding her very pregnant belly and holding a picture.  If you're curious about the photo, what I said to JulyViolet is that I wanted to have a picture of Tracer in a pregnancy dress looking at a photo of her ultrasound.  As for the dress, I left that in the hands of JulyViolet who modeled it after Tracer's regular outfit and I think it came out amazingly.  Especially with how I added the colors for it.  

The final hurdle of it all was the background.  Doing it like I did before with the bluish-grey wall with posters and such, I wanted to go further and add a little more items that are definitely Tracer.  Such as the British Flag and a spray from the game.  

And if I may say so, I think that Tracer would make an excellent mom.

JulyViolet - Animated Harem Tracer is Expecting

In continuing the animated harem series, I am having the ladies experience some really great news on their own.  Drawn by JulyViolet and colored by me.  Each lady will experience such news in their own way.  For Tracer I imagined her just having a serious victory pose while holding the positive pregnancy test. 

The background though, I had an issue with trying to get it right because I didn't want to repeat myself.  So I wanted the background to look like the background that the Overwatch characters have when you're looking at them through the hero selection menu.  Unfortunately, I just couldn't get it right, so I reused a background that I had done from a previous picture.  The basis for this was from the Overwatch comic in which we get to see the inside of Tracer's apartment.

Patreon Approved Animated Harem Tracer

Recently over on my Patreon page, I had gotten my account suspended because apparently an art piece or maybe it was the overall body of work that someone thought was offensive and "violated community guidelines". 




But I eventually managed to get the account unsuspended but I'm not posting there anymore and given the situation, I coudln't help but make this parody picture of my Animated Harem Tracer picture drawn by CallMePo.

Here is the newest addition to my animated harem drawn by CallMePo, this time we have Tracer of Overwatch.

He had done this a while ago and it did take me a while to get to it but I think the wait is well worth it, wouldn't you say?  When I finished it, I knew that this called for a lot of add-ons such as what I did with the various word bubbles.

And I so had to add in that one about being offended in reference to "buttgate".  Still offended?  Good.

As for the look of the controller, that was suggested by my friend Hooksnfangs at Twitter.  He showed me the Tracer themed PS4 controller and I tried to mimic it as best I could.

JulyViolet - Animated Harem Tracer

It’s been a while, my faithful watchers, but here she is; Lena Oxton/Tracer as done by @julyviolet. When I had them do this piece, I knew what I wanted to have done.  I still remember the time around when Overwatch was about to be released and there was that firestorm around Tracer’s ass.  Granted, I know how jokes fade away so easily on the internet and people stop caring about them as “that’s so 5 minutes ago” but I still think it’s funny.

So, with #Buttgate in mind, I asked JulyViolet to do this one of Tracer where she’s looking at her ass and wondering what’s wrong with it.  When I was starting on it, I knew that I had a lot to do as far as the background was concerned.  For one, I knew that I not only had one version of Tracer to color but two of them in the mirror.  After laying out the strategy in my head, it was pretty easy to go from there.  The only thing that still bothered me about it was the colors for the walls in the room.  I do admit that I borrowed teh colors of Tracer’s apartment from the Overwatch comic where she comes back home after Christmas Shopping.

But even with those aspects done, I wanted to add something more to it to give it a little something extra. So I added some word bubbles to a dialogue that I felt would probably have happened, had Tracer known what was going on.

As for the second word bubble, well, I imagine that the Animated Harem is having a little fun of it’s own.

Pinky Pills - Animated Harem Tracer

Here’s the newest addition in this the small project I have of my “Animated Harem”, this time we have Tracer drawn by @pinky-pills.

The setup was the same, have Tracer drawn in a pin-up style.  Although I knew I was in for quite a challenge when I saw the amount of detail that went into her clothes.  As much as I love Tracer, coloring the various pieces of her outfit can be a challenge because of the amount of detail and the different colors that are involved.  Especially her harness and her pants.  The harness presents the challenge due to the different tiny parts.  The pants presents a challenge because of how it fades from yellow to orange and that can be hard to pull off when it comes to pant legs with how they bend and twist in different directions.

But once I got over those two hurdles, everything else was pretty easy to take care of.  And of course, I know that I’m cheating by using the same background I did before with the previous Tracer pictures, but really, it’s just so classic for her that it’s hard to imagine her not in front of a sky blue background.

CallMePo - Tracer’s Oppai Heart Meme - Pride Version

I'm sure many of you have seen the meme that has been going around where a model or character is posed making a heart shape with their hands but shoving their breast through it making it into a heart shape as well.  I decided to jump on this meme and get to it.  And so when @callmepo​ had opened his commissions, I jumped at that chance too and had him do Tracer with this.

For this version of the picture, I had to throw in a Pride version of the Overwatch logo, given that Tracer/Lena Oxton is a part of the LGBTQ+ community.  So, really, let’s spread the love.  Make love, not hate.

CallMePo - Tracer’s Oppai Heart Meme

Normally, I would have gotten this one done much sooner as well, but all this adulting nonsense just keeps piling up on me.  And to think all of us thought being an adult would be so great.  MEH!

BlushMallet - Tracer and Overwatch Pride

If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll know of the older version of this, my Animated Harem Tracer which was drawn by the incomparable @blushmallet.  The inspiration for these came from an artist that I came across a few days back named “Elapuse” who did this incredible piece of Tracer:  Love by Elapuse at Society6.  I saw it and just fell in love with it instantly.  And wanted to add something like that into the Tracer pic that was done for me in honor of Pride Month.  So, my first attempt was to recreate the jets and the rainbow streams.  Making the streams look like smoke was a little tricky.  I essentially had to go in with my smudge tool and make it look like it’s billowing out from behind the jets. 

But then after I was done with it, I realized that the jets were missing the blue from the LGBTQ+ flag.  And I can understand why, after all, blue against a blue sky…it would disappear pretty easily.  Plus, six colors would make things uneven as far as a flying-V pattern formation.  So, with that in mind, I went with something else.  I went back to the other background I had done for Tracer and found the Overwatch logo.  And I thought, “Hey, there’s an idea.  I’ll overlay the pride flag into the Overwatch logo.”  So, a little creative selection and cutting I made the Pride flag in the shape of the Overwatch logo.

And then, when I was just about done, I remembered looking at her tag on her collar and thought, “Why not throw the rainbow onto that?”  To which I answered, “Why not indeed?”  And went ahead with it. 

It doesn’t matter who you love or how you see yourself.  Find your happiness.

BlushMallet - Animated Harem - Tracer

Now that so much of my animated harem has been finally brought to life, thanks to the wonderful @blushmallet I suddenly had the urge to add some others.  One of them is one that is pretty popular and one that BlushMallet has fun drawing so I figured “why not?”
Just like the others, I had asked BlushMallet to draw Tracer wearing nothing but the collar that’s a theme in the pictures and her jacket.  And just like before, the concept was delivered with such expert artistry. 

But the next challenge was on me to make a good background to go along with it.  Initially, I wanted to make the background look like the character selection from the game, but I had an ENORMOUSLY hard time trying to get it right and there were no tutorials that could help out in this situation. 

So, I played with various ideas.  The first one was a simple black background with the Overwatch symbol.  When I was done I looked at it and thought that it was too dark and drab.  So I decided to go with something a little lighter, to match how bright and cheery Tracer is. 

With the bright and cheery in mind, I decided to make her look like some kind of recruitment poster for Overwatch.  I looked over various stills and wallpapers and noticed the blue sky gradient was common in them all, so I went with that.  When it was done it was bright and cheery, just like Tracer.  Only thing missing is, “I want YOU for Overwatch!”

And I so had to throw in the hearts for good measure.
