HanamiArtX - Inkeri the Half-Orc Bard

Here we have a Dungeons and Dragons character created by the love of my life, Luna. It was one of the first Dungeons and Dragons characters that she created and held onto it. After a while she created a miniature of her in Hero Forge and after seeing it I had asked if I could have some art made of it. She agreed and gaining the help of HanamiArtX the lineart was sent to me and I put in the colors.

If you want to see a time-lapse video of this, head over to my YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avBJjnvLXcw

Thank you to HanamiArtX. You can find their page on twitter: https://x.com/hanamiartx

And thank you, Luna, for letting me bring this art work to life. I love you so much.

Be sure to check out my patreon and become a patron to help me make more artwork like this.

JulyViolet - Ryul and Scanlan Shorthalt

To celebrate the release of the new episodes of season 2 of Critical Role's "The Legend of Vox Machina", I present this to you.  New art piece drawn by JulyViolet that shows one of my DnD characters with one of theirs.  Those of you who follow my work will recognize my character, Ryul the high elf monk, and those of you who know of Vox Machina will recognize the bard, Scanlan Shorthalt.

With the way I created and wanted to portray my monk, I always knew that the two of them would get along quite well.  After all, Ryul loves to bed men and women of various races from humans to gnomes, to goblins, even dragonborn and tieflings.  This elf makes bards look damned chaste.

If you're interested in seeing the process of how this piece was put together, I will be releasing a video detailing the coloring process of it very soon on my youtube channel.

Please, be sure to subscribe and become a patron.

And don't forget to check out JulyViolet's Patreon without whom this art would not be possible.  Thank you to them.

JulyViolet - Try Guys Dnd - Joshua the Dragonborn Wizard

And here we have the final piece in the Try Guys Dungeons and Dragons series drawn by JulyViolet and colored by me.  This one is the character used by Keith Hasberger, the character is named Joshua, a Dragonborn Wizard who is also a traveling artist.

Try Guys Play Dungeons and Dragons

Coloring this one was a true challenge because of the fact that it was the first time that I had colored a reptilian/dragon creature.  After coloring and doing the shadings, the rest of the picture was pretty easy.  At least until when it came to the case of the background.  Just like the other peices, I wanted to put in references to the Try Guys animal mascots.  Such as Zach's Turtle, Eugene's Tiger, Ned's chicken/rooster, and this one is a Giraffe.

After that, I wanted to make a reference to something else that Kieth has done, which is a hot sauce that is sold by the company called "the Heatonist".  Sold here:  Keith's Chicken Sauce

When it was all done, or at least when I thought it was done, I turned to my artist friend, Hooksnfangs, for thoughts, and thanks to their suggestion I put in highlights on the scales to give it a sensation of a reptillian texture.  After that, it was suggested to have something drawn in on the canvas and that was when I knew of one final thing to put in reference to the Try Guys; their logo of the Triceratops.

And there we have it, the Try Guys Dungeons and Dragons series is finished.  My thanks to JulyViolet for their work.

Note:  All characters depicted here are 18 years of age or older.

JulyViolet - Try Guys DnD - Carol the Dark Elf Rogue

In the continuing series of fan art of the Try Guys Dungeons and Dragons, drawn by JulyViolet and colored by me.  The character here is Carol the Dark Elf Rogue.  This character was made by Eugene Lee Yang.  the setup for it, as Eugene put it, is that he wanted this character to be like Cate Blanchett in "Lord of the Rings" where she turns evil for that one moment as well as Cat Blanchett in the movie "Carol" which was a story about a forbidden romance between a female photographer and an older woman who is going through a divorce.  So with that in mind, Eugene created a Dark Elf Rogue that he named Carol.

During the course of the campaign that the Try Guys did, it was revealed that Carol has a knife that she calls "Gay Rights" and there's even a moment in the game when Carol kills a guard and when the guard is dying she whispers one sentence:  "Gay Rights".  And thus the reason why I knew that there needs to be a add-in of that phrase into the picture.  So I figured that it should be done as a big of graffiti in the background.  In addition to that, like what I have done with the other Try Guys, I included their animal symbol/mascot in the background.  Ned Fulmer has the Chicken.  Zach Kornfeld has the Turtle.  And Eugene has the Tiger.

As for the tiger stencil, I have to mention that I borrowed the tiger from SkurPix - Tiger Head Symbol

My thanks to JulyViolet for the work that they've done with this.  And to Skurpix for the Tiger head.  Thank you all.

JulyViolet - Try Guys DnD - Hotankles the Tiefling Bard

To continue in the series of the Try Guys Dungeons and Dragons, drawn by JulyViolet and colored by me, here we have the character created by Zach Kornfeld, his Tiefling Bard badboy named Hotankles.

Coloring this one was a little on the tricky size becuase of the fact that the biggest issue was the skin tones.  In DnD, Tieflings are basically devil people and so the skin tones range pretty greatly, but given the video that the Try Guys did, I decided to just stick to the original, but later on I also decided, as an experiment to do the Tiefling skin tones as well.  So here we have both the tiefling skin tone and the human skin tone.

And if you're a fan of the Try Guys, you'll see why I put in a turtle into the background.

JulyViolet - Try Guys DnD - Edgar the Destroyer

Here we have a piece drawn by JulyViolet and colored by me.

The backstory of this is that my girlfriend and I are fans of the YouTube comedy group "the Try Guys" and one day we were sitting in on a lazy day and I mentioned how it'd be cool if the Try Guys did a video of themselves playing Dungeons and Dragons. Sure enough, on that very day, a video was uploaded of them doing just that.

Try Guys Try Dungeons and Dragons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okKiieF0oM4&t=290s

After seeing it, I couldn't help but be inspired by what I saw so I sat down and spoke with an artist that I frequently commission and asked them if they could do the artwork. As far as my choices of which to go with first, I decided to start in the same timeline of when they were released. First is the one done by Ned Fulmer; a Human Barbarian named Edgar the Destroyer. "I take no prisoners....and I always skip leg day."

The hardest part of coloring this one was the hair because of how flowing it is and how much detail needed to be put into it but after that hurdle, everything else was pretty easy. Especially the background. Now, if you have questions as to why I put in a chicken/rooster into the background, this is something you'd have to know as a fan of the Try Guys, that they each have animal mascots. For Ned Fulmer, his is a chicken/rooster. So, I imagined Edgar being the leader of a tribe of Barbarians with a chicken/rooster as their symbol.

My thanks to JulyViolet for doing this picture for me.
