Coloring Commission - Rudeboy308 and CallMePo - Mizuki upstages Naga

In the newest commission piece given to me by Rudeboy308, it had him with the top member of RudeboyHQ308, Mizuki upstaging Naga in her own outfit. 

This one took a little longer to do than normal due to the holiday season and having to go through a lot of the 9 to 5 nonsense.  However, I did keep at it, little by little.  Once it was done, I had a few ideas that I threw into it.  Namely that they woudl be in the hallway of a convention on their way to a cosplay convention.  Initially, the plan was to have the background be like a cityscape but when I put forth the idea of a cosplay contest, Rudeboy308 jumped at that and loved it. 

I even thew in a word bubble and a small anger mark for good measure.

Coloring Commission - CallMePo/Rudeboy308 - Mizuki Wedding

In another in the wonderful line of line arts given to Rudeboy308 by CallMePo we have Mizuki on her wedding day to the lucky dude.  The one bride to the one who has an entire company of wifus.  Coloring her was tricky when it came to her hair because it is so long and so dense.  After that, the biggest hurdle was the ruffle trims Just a lot of detail to work with.  After that, the background that was requested was a church.  Initially the ideas was to do it from an angle where the aisle of the church behind her but that became a lot to do so I switched it to her standing in front of an altar in front of a set of some stained glass windows.  Thanks to a few tricks I know in Photoshop I managed to give it the texture of stained glass. 

And I'm certainly glad that my commissioner loves it and I have a feeling that CallMePo would love it too.

Coloring Commission - CallMePo - Rudeboy308 - Nurse Mizuki Tachibana (Green Ribbon)

This is Mizuki Tachibana from “Gravion”.  Granted I don’t know that much about the character but given the nurses uniform I couldn’t help but jump at the chance at coloring her.

In the first incarnation of this picture, I was asked to have Nurse Mizuki Tachibana in a pink uniform and with that I made a support for Breast Cancer Awareness.  But at the time of doing that I decided to have another version done for another cause I‘m passionate about:  Mental Health Awareness. 
Thus, I did a recolor of Nurse Tachibana in a green uniform to symbolize Mental Health Awareness because I’m of the opinion that health of the mind is just as important as health of the body.  Let’s face it, if you had to go to the doctor to treat a heart problem, there’s no shame in it.  So why is there shame when it comes to health problems of the mind?  This needs to stop because if we are healthier mentally it will contribute to the betterment of us all. 

Let’s together stop the stigma of mental illness.

Coloring Commission - Rudeboy308 - CallMePo - Mizuki Tachibana Christmas

This was another piece that was commissioned to me by @rudeboy308 of a Quick-n-dirty sketch that he made to @callmepo.

The set up here is Mizuki Tachibana from “Gravion” is one of Santa’s very naughty little helpers and she’s having a little of her own Christmas cheer.  Yes, she is joyful and triumphant…pa-rump-pum-pum-pum.  She’s decking the halls and giving herself a holy night.  Okay, Ill stop because I’m out of Christmas innuendos. 

The hard part about this one, wasn’t in the coloring of Mizuki, it was more in the work of the background that was requested of me.  Rudeboy308 wanted her to be in front of a fireplace that had stockings hung in front of it. So with that in mind, I had to refer to one of my older pieces that had a fireplace in the background.  So, I used that and worked in a little more with a few tricks I had up my sleeve and then put in the fire and there we have it. 

And Rudeboy308 was lovingly surprised by what I had done.
