Talia Rrab Redux

During my time of posting my old work into my Patreon, which is now suspended, I coudln't help but look back at my old work and I couldn't help but want to rework them a little bit.  Namely this one that was done for me by Michael Lee Lunsford.  The background I had before was just a bunch of random dots that I was trying to pass off as a starfield but given how much my own skills have grown I wanted to see what I could do with it.  And so, I added in the stars with my new techniques and added in the nebula.

My thanks to them for the work that they've done.

Talia Rrab is an amalgamation of Talia Wagner (X-men) and Arisia Rrab.

Note: All character(s) depicted here are 18 years of age or older.

Amalgam Comics: Ameri Quinn NO. 1

I started working on this one day after going over my own comics collection.  I looked at the covers and thought to myself that perhaps I should take a crack at making a cover for my Amalgams.  So I pulled up the one that was done for me by @stickymonart and I had colored:  AmeriQuinn.  But because the original image was so small, I compiled the lines and colors and transferred them to a new Photoshop file and tinkered with it there.

In the design of the cover, I basically looked over the covers for Harley Quinn as well as American Dream.  Thus the reason why the name logo looks like a mixture of the two.  I used a military-like font with stars and a red, white and blue color scheme.  Which did take a LOOOT of manipulation in Photoshop but I finally managed to get it right.
If all of you like it, please let me know.

Amalgam Comics - Sketch - Librium

Name: Max Calhoun [Birth Name: Erik Heidrich]
Alter Ego:  Librium

Abilities:  gravitational and magnetic manipulation
Amalgam:
          Marvel:  Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr)
          DC:  Prometheus
This was an idea that was born from a brainstorming session between myself and Miles Yagami.  Initially when I designed this Amalgam, I was thinking of merging Magneto with Two Face, but in my discussions with Miles it was suggested that I needed a different villain.  Someone who was villainous but acted with self-righteousness.  With that in mind, he suggested Prometheus from the Batman comics.  I liked it immediately and started drawing him and during a small riff session with Miles I basically came up with a rough backstory.
Back-story I thought of is a mixture of his and Erik’s. The son of Polish immigrants. He and his family got hassled, bullied and threatened a lot not only for being German but for being Jewish. Especially by a Westboro-Baptist-like group. Got worse when at a rally by these hate wackos, his powers manifested and thus the group lived up to their threats. After the death of his parents at the hands of this group, he came to the conclusion that evil like theirs must be eliminated so that which is good may flourish.  “If justice is balance,” he reasoned, “then I must act as the counterweight.”
Max eventually enters into college where he meets with Alfred Xavier, a genetics student who is working towards his PH.d.  During their time together they grow fond of each other and eventually develop a romantic/sexual relationship and learn of each other’s abilities.  But then things fall apart at an anti-meta rally.
The rally sparks memories within Max about a similar group who killed his parents.  He is about to use his abilities on the crowd but Alfred steps in.
Alfred: Max. Don’t give in to the hate like they have.

Max: No. As long as they exist, we can never be free.
And Alfred had to get in the middle of it. Max is about to rain down metal spikes on the crowd. He manages to enter Max’s mind to deflect most of them, but one is left over coming down on one protester. Alfred leaps in and is impaled through his lower back right into his spine.
After the accident, Max leaves college and creates his own group called “The Meta Fellowship“ while Alfred continues his work towards his PH.d, and creates the Xavier Academy and eventually forms “The X-ers”.

Stickymon - Amalgam Comics - AmeriQuinn

Here’s a piece whose lineart was done for me by StickyMon and which I added the colors.

The idea behind it was something that Kay-sama, SniperPlushie and I came up with.  I had asked them if there was an Amalgam design that they’d like to see and one of the ideas that came up was that they wanted to see something done with Harley Quinn.  I immediately jumped at the idea and began to think out who Harley could be fused with on the Marvel side.  And, as I recall, and either one of them can correct me on this, but I think it was Kay-Sama who suggested American Dream (Shannon Carter).  And I think it was me that blurted out the name for this Amalgam:  "Ameri Quinn".  After that, I started a few sketches of this idea.
As for her weapons, I had the notion of an exploding Apple Pie as an absurdly comic idea that blends the whole “American as Apple Pie” with the overly comic book round bomb with a fuse that Harley Quinn uses or would use.  But eventually that idea was dropped in favor of an old World War 2 bazooka and a baseball bat (idea courtesy of Kay-sama).

The outfit itself I knew it had to look like an American flag in reference to Shanon Carter but it also had to have a flair of Harley Quinn, so I asked StickyMon to use a pattern like what I had sketched out, the strips in two quadrants and blue and stars in the other.  And after he finished the drawing and sent it to me and after coloring it I think it came out well.  Especially with the flag in the background, it rather harkens back to the old World War 2 propaganda posters, don’t you think?

Stickymon - Amalgam Comics - Green Lantern Ch’d

This is the colored version of “Green Lantern Ch’d” that I had commissioned from Stickymon

Original seen here: Ch’d by Stickmon

It really seemed like too good of an idea to pass up since there were two squirrel themed characters in both Marvel and DC comics and I figured with the Amalgams that I’m coming up with, then why not?  But in terms of the overall look, I decided to make her a much larger anthro version of a squirrel than the original Ch'p and give this one a feminine form. I told all this to Stickymon and he did a marvelous job at giving her the look I was hoping for.  In terms of the uniform, I definitely wanted it to look more like Squirrel Girl’s uniform with the green one piece, bracers and boots.  And once again, Stickymon did wonderfully with it.

During the coloring process it was thanks to clock–heart that I managed to push a little further in my coloring abilities.   Namely going into a more comic-book-like coloring scheme with putting in the highlights in the darker shadow areas.  The reason for that is so that the highlights in the green areas of the uniform would match the highlights that Stickymon had laid out in the darker part of the uniform.

In terms of personality, I hadn’t really thought of much for Ch’d since I was more concerned about her visual look first.   But that’s not to say that I won’t make one further down the road.

Name:  Ch’d

Stickymon - Amalgam - Sentinel Aya

Here we have a fully rendered and colored version of my Amalgam comics character design: Sentinel Aya.  This was part of a commission that I had made to Stickymon, who was having a “line drive”, basically taking on lineart commissions and so I jumped on the chance and asked him to render my amalgam design based on these sketches that I had done:

In comparison I think that the way that StickyMon did it is far better.  After he was done, I went about the task of coloring her and adding a “green lantern glow” to her “casing seams” that you see in her body, a design idea that’s thanks to Clock-heart. And it is also thanks to her that the background was made.  I had tried to create a space background on my own but it turned out to just be a background with a bunch of white dots on it.  So cl0ckh3art rendered her own and showed it to me and with he permission I put it into the background.

And now for her character sheet:

Name:  Sentinel Aya

Alter Ego:  None

Team Affiliation: Green Lantern Corps

Abilities:
Control over computer systems (if connected).
Superhuman strength.
Superhuman durability.
Energy Absorption.
Computer Virus Generation.
Green Lantern energy manipulation, which includes flight, hard light constructs, energy blasts, force fields, light projection,

Amalgam:

Marvel:  Omega Sentinel

DC:  Aya

Origin:

Originally an artificial intelligence protection program on Oa, but when faced with deletion in favor of a new program she downloaded herself into a group of discarded manhunter parts.  It was only a matter of time until the Gaurdians of the Universe discovered that Aya had moved herself to the manhunter body.

And seeing that she had achieved a level of self-awareness that caused her to wish for self-preservation the Guardians saw fit to aid Aya in her survival.  At Aya’s request, she wanted a body that was more female in form because many of the Green Lanterns would refer to her as “she”.
The body that was built for Sentinel Aya was given a Green Lantern power battery as it’s power source and thus Aya was inducted as a Green Lantern.

Zet13 - Talia Rrab - Uniform and nude

This is a colored version of the Talia Rrab Lineart that I had commissioned to an artist who goes by the name of Zet-M but he also goes by the name Zet13.

I came across his work over at Hentai Foundry and I decided to give him a try with one of the characters that I have in my lists and he didn’t disappoint.

As for the design of this particular character, I took elements of Arisia Rrab from “Green Lantern” and Talia Wagner from X-men and combined the two.  And so what we have is a green skinned Nightcrawler like character.  I already liked the idea of it and I have had a few artists draw her but really it’s hard to really say who did the best job with her.

Note: All character(s) depicted here are of 18 years of age or older.

Drstrangebob - Miss Power and Kara Danvers

This is a colored version of the commission Ms. Power that was drawn for me by DrStrangebob

I decided to have him do more of the Amalgam comic characters that I thought of given the great job that he did on Talia Rrab. For this one I had him do Miss Power.

This particular character I wanted there to be something different as far as her disguise goes. The notion of it came up when I, like so many others, kept laughing at Superman’s idea of a disguise. That being that he would just slip on a pair of glasses and no one would recognize him. So to make fun of that, I had Miss Power’s alter ego be very different in physical attributes. Namely that she’s shorter and less busty along with how she has brown hair in opposition to Miss Power’s blonde hair, and she wears glasses on top of that. So seeing the two of them standing side-by-side like this you’d hardly suspect that they are the same person, would you?

Name: Miss Power

Alter Ego: Kara Danvers

Alter Ego Profession: Airport Lost Luggage

Team Affiliation: Avengers League (a.k.a. The League of Avengers)

Abilities: Super strength, speed, flight, X-ray vision, laser eyes, and ice breath. Energy absorption and blasts of power to be shot from her hand.

Weakness: Kree-ptonie. A piece of the planet Krypton that through unknown radiation has been given not only an opal and prismatic hue but it also has the ability to weaken Miss Marvel and with enough exposure it may be able to kill her.

Marvel: Ms. Marvel
DC: Power Girl

Drstrangebob - Amalgam Comics - Talia Rrab

This is a colored version of the lineart Talia Rrab Light that was drawn by DrStrangebob as a request. He really liked the idea of a green Nightcrawler and I was quite grateful that he took on the idea. And really it does quite pop, doesn’t it?

Name: Talia Rrab

Team Affiliation: Green Lantern Corps (Sector 2815)

Species: Graxosian

Place of Origin: Graxos

Appearance: Thin green fur, two-toed and fingered feet and hands (not including thumbs), yellow eyes, and a prehensile tail.

Abilities: Prehensile Tail, Teleportation, Superhuman agility and gymnast, heightened hearing, enhanced night vision, skilled martial artist, and use of Green Lantern Power Ring.

Weakness: Due to her heightened sense of hearing she is particularly sensitive to loud sounds. A similar weakness applies to her vision that she is also very sensitive to bright light. Her teleportation is also limited to either having been to the place she’s teleporting to or being able to see it. The bulk of her weaknesses and limitations lie within the power ring which is only limited by her willpower and imagination to create the energy constructs.

Personality Talia is very light-hearted, marvelously kind, and fun loving. Which is why a lot of time she uses her ring to make fun constructs such as a forest of green energy to allow her to leap and jump through. She is also a very sexual individual which is due in part to Graxosian society (in the Amalgam Universe) which is very omnisexual and poly-amorous. Meaning that she not only mates with men and women of her own species but other sentient species as well.

Marciotakara - Amalgam - Miss Power

Name: Ms. Power

Alter Ego: Kara Danvers

Team Affiliation: Avengers League (a.k.a. The League of Avengers)

Abilities: Super strength, speed, flight, X-ray vision, laser eyes, and ice breath. Energy absorption and blasts of power to be shot from her hand.

Weakness: Kree-ptonie. A piece of the planet Krypton that through unknown radiation has been given not only an opal and prismatic hue but it also has the ability to weaken Miss Marvel and with enough exposure it may be able to kill her.

Amalgam:
Marvel: Ms. Marvel
DC: Power Girl

This is the colored version of the Miss Power Lineart drawn by Marciotakara

It’s also part of a series of comic characters that I’ve been thinking of and improving upon. A while back, Marvel and DC comics came together and created “Amalgam Comics” in which they had merged and fused many of their comic book characters. Such as Superman and Captain America into “Super Soldier”. Batman and Wolverine into “Dark Claw”. Iron Man and the Green Lantern into “The Iron Lantern” which I had commissioned and colored to Bokuman and is on display in his gallery and my own.

For this one I commissioned it to Marciotakara given what I had seen of his work in making comic book characters.

The idea behind this one is that it is a fusion of Power Girl and Miss Marvel and thus creates “Miss Power”. Originally when it started I wanted there to be a counterpart to fuse with Power Girl given how I’ve come to like her. So thanks to ClassicCowboy who gave me the suggestion of Miss Marvel I went with it.

As for the colors of this one. I used a lot of the colors that I had used for my colored version of “Nega Girl” drawn by CallMePo. But as for the hair and the eyes I wanted to go with red hair and green eyes because I feel that there aren’t enough redheads in comics. There are a few but I don’t think that there are enough.

Originally, I had Miss Power as a redhead with green eyes but then I had shown the picture to my good friend Inkonherlips who is a great set of second eyes. And she convinced me to try to use blonde hair since it would be a more true fusion of Miss Marvel and Power Girl given that they’re both blonde.  And to give her blue eyes because it looks more visually complementary.

Bokuman - Iron Lantern

This piece is another in the great line of line arts that I have commissioned the artist Bokuman.  Here’s the original:  Iron Lantern Commission

This time, in my own tribute to the Iron Man film, I’ve decided to do this - The Iron Lantern.  Which was actually created by a fusion of DC and Marvel Comics under the name of “Amalgam Comics”.  A fusion of The Green Lantern and Iron Man, which does make sense in that both men use the great power of something physical, (Iron Man - The Suit and The Green Lantern - the Ring).

However, in my own creation of the Iron Lantern, I would do things different.

Such as I would make the wearer of this armor the young son of Tony Stark and “Pepper” Potts - Kyle Stark.  Unlike his father, a business man and engineer, young Kyle became an artist, much to the dismay of his father.  However, like his father, Kyle had inherited his desire to help people.  Which is why after graduating college, he joined the Peace Corps and fell into the same fate as his father; capture by radicals.

Unlike his father, young Kyle was saved by an alien presence who bequeathed to him the Emerald Ring of the Green Lanterns.

With the Ring, Kyle used his father’s armor and empowered the armor with the power of the ring and became “The Iron Lantern”

The new changes that I’ve made to this is the shadow beneath the feet, the addition of the Green Lantern Logo, and if you look closely you’ll see a slight green glow coming from the feet.  Kind of like the thrust propellers on the Iron Man’s boots.
