JulyViolet - Black Widow Stands with Ukraine

I know that I'm late to the party about this but I've had this idea for a long time that I think would be a great and rather powerful image. The idea was inspired by this protest I saw on the news of women in France that were going topless and painting themselves in the Ukrainian flag. So, with that in mind, I wondered "what would Natasha Romanov, the Black Widow, do or think in this situation?"

The answer was obvious.

And so, I called upon JulyViolet to do the line art and they managed this.

The coloring was the harder part since so much is going on at home and I've been trying to do all I can to balance work life, home life, and the hobby life.

Thanks to JulyViolet for the work that they've done.

Coloring Commission - Thundra

Given current events, I've opened up my coloring commissions even more and among the people who answered the add was a very faithful and old commissioner of mine, Desscribe, who brought me a line art drawn by the artist Ramona Fradon who did this line art for them of a little known Marvel character named "Thundra".

I say "little known" because when it comes to Marvel there seems to be two camps, people who know the Marvel comics from the MCU and those who have read the comics for years.  In this case, Thundra hasn't been part of the MCU (yet).  So if you're interested, go check her out.

Coloring the line art was interesting becuase of the fact that the line art itself was a little sketchy but it was okay to work with.

As for the background, I based it off of a piece that I had come across when looking up references for Thundra that had a night sky-like background with black spheres and a lightning bolt and so I tried to mimic it.

My thanks to Desscribe for allowing me to color this piece.

Coloring Commission - Rogue gets Slimed

Here is the newest coloring commission given to me by Slim2k6.  The picture was drawn by CallMePo as part of the ongoing "Camp Woody" series that Slim2k6 has done.  When they approached me to do this piece, my first question was about the background.  Thankfully, they had a pretty clear idea of what they wanted.  They wanted a dark night, a dark forest, rogue on the ground, and mist.

With those outlines laid out in front of me, I went right to work on it.  Though since this was something somewhat different from the others that I have done I decided to do something a little different in the shading.  That being that the light would come from the right.  When it was done I started to realize that I had made the best choice in making it come from that direction.  Gives a certain look of being ominous like the killer in a slasher film being off screen somewhere.

The background on the other hand I knew that I needed a little help with the trees, so thanks to DeviantArt, I found a series of tree brushes by Fallen-Stock:  https://www.deviantart.com/falln-stock/art/Trees-and-Bushes-Brushes-Set-1-92728709

After applying a little mist and some stars to a night sky, the piece was done.

Thank you, Slim2k6 for allowing me to do this piece.

Chadwick Boseman Tribute

I know that I'm late in doing this and everyone has already done theirs but this one was the hardest that I've had to do or asked to do.  When I heard the news of Chadwick Boseman's passing, it hit me pretty hard because it just came out of nowhere for a lot of us.  But just like the tribute that I had asked BlushMallet to do for Carrie Fisher, I asked JulyViolet to do a tribute for Chadwick.  Once it was done it was pretty damn hard to color because not only of the emotional impact but also because it was the most realistic piece that I had done.  And so because of my slight perfectionism, I kept second guessing myself at every turn.  Between the way that the shadows looked and the skin tones, I wanted everything to be just right.  To give the best tribute that could be done.  Once it was done I couldn't help but feel emotional about the whole thing.

It is my only hope that JulyViolet and I gave the greatest level of respect that this individual had commanded.

Rest in Power, Chadwick.

IGFalcon - She Hulk Colored

Among my favorite artists that I like to color their line art is IGFalcon whom I've known from DeviantArt for quite a few years.  And recently, they did this piece of She-Hulk.  Granted they already did a colored version of her, but I couldn't quite help myself and want to do my own colored version as well.  The coloring pallet was probably one of the simplest I had done but it took me the longest due to the fact that real life often likes to yank you away from the things that you want to do.  I know all of us have been there.

Here's the original:  She-Hulk outline

But I'd like to thank IGFalcon for posting the line art and allowing others to do this.  Thank you again.

Coloring Commission - Desscribe - CallMePo - Adam Warlock’s Blowjob

It feels so good to be doing another coloring commissioni again.  This time from one of my wonderful loyal patrons: Desscribe ( @comicbooknudes ).  This one he commissioned to the absolutely wonderful and incredibly fabulous @callmepo.  This one is of a rather obscure reference from the Adam Warlock comic.  In one of them there was a woman dressed in a green space suit who shared an adventure with Adam.  And I did do another coloring commission of her wearing only her gloves, boots, belt and helmet:  Warlock Babe

And I decided to follow in the same pattern as the previous one where we saw her in front of a Spaceship hallway with a window looking out into space.  I often imagine it happening like this, she first poses in front of the window naked, then gets dressed, Adam Warlock shows up, and then she yanks down his shorts and is about to give him the most intergalactic of blowjobs.
I do have a feeling that this is going to be a very happy ending.

My thanks to both @callmepo and @comicbooknudes for this opportunity.

Animated Harem - July Violet - Aunt Cass Hamada

To continue further with the “Animated Harem”, here is the newest in the series from JulyViolet.  This one is very similar to the other versions of AUnt Cass I’ve had done by both @blushmallet as well as @callmepo.  But it’s always interesting to see what each artist will bring to the concept.  In this case, JulyViolet added extra cream and the chair.  Which I think helped a lot in terms of setting up the background and perspective.

And really, I know I’ve had it done before in the other two versions, but really, when it comes to cream filled doughnuts, who hasn’t always liked that look of the cream dripping onto someone’s chest?  And who hasn’t wanted to lick the cream right off their partner?  And the fact that Aunt Cass made them herself I think makes it better.  You can’t beat home made.

My thanks to JulyViolet for their work.

BlushMallet - Iron Mary Jane

In the most recent commissions that I made to @blushmallet, I had decided on something a little different.  This time, I decided upon something that I don’t think has gotten enough attention.  For those of you who are comic book fans, you might remember when Mary Jane Watson was offered a job by Tony Stark (Iron Man) to become the new “Iron Spider”.  A title and suit that was once held by Peter Parker during the Civil War event.  I felt that Mary Jane looked so cool and sexy in it that I wanted more art done of her.

During the discussion with BlushMallet they mentioned an idea of having the robotic arms of the Iron Spider Suit peeling off the suit itself for her in a very suggestive fashion.  I liked the idea and told them to go ahead with it.  After it was done the coloring became the tricky part at the stage of the actual suit because I needed to make it look both metallic as well as fabric.  Hopefully in the way that I did it, the result was achieved.

The next part was dealing with the background.  I had so many lovely ideas that I decided to do all of them.  The first being a clean background with the New York skyline.  The second being that background with the Spider-heart in the background as well.  The third looking like a comic book cover and finally one with a word bubble using Mary Jane’s signature phrase.

My thanks once again to @blushmallet for their marvelous work.

Coloring Com - Bokuman - Strangerataru - Sheri Cosplaying Diamond Lil

Here we have a new coloring commission that was given to me by Strangerataru who had commissioned Bokuman for the lineart itself.

Original lineart seen here: Commission Strangerataru by Bokuman

It’s a pretty simple setup.  From what Strangerataru had told me the character here is his original character, Sheri (a werewolf), cosplaying as Diamond Lil of Alpha Flight.  And thankfully he provided me with the reference images needed for this one.  And really the only real complicated part of this piece was the hair because it’s wavy but I’m glad with how it turned out.

If you like my work here and have some lineart, please send me a note and we’ll talk details.

Or if you’re a Homestuck fan and want some sketches of your favorite character, send me a note and we’ll talk about that too.

I would also encourage you to visit my Patreon page and become a patron: StarDragon77′s Patreon

Coloring Commission - Desscribe - CallmePo - Sexy Cynthia Naked

This is the follow-up to this picture:  Cynthia is a Real Vampire

Here’s the original lineart:  Sexy Cynthia Nude

I liked what I saw immediately because of how it invoked some of the more old school pinups. But like before, the biggest challenge to it all was Cynthia’s hair.  Unlike most characters that I’ve colored linearts of, her hair here is a little more detailed than most and that required a little more jagged lines when it came to the shading.

Squirrel Girl - Drawn by Oni - Colored by StarDragon77

Many of the artists that I follow are on Patreon and one of them is the artist named Oni who does a lot of incredibly high quality NSFW type of work.  However, one day while going through the posts I came across one about Squirrel Girl and I saw how on that post he had the PSD (photoshop) files to download.  So I asked if anyone could color it and he said he was alright with it as long as he was credited.

Oni did initially color Squirrel Girl and gave her a background, so really the only difference between our two pictures is the style at which we came at this particular character.  For me, I always do it in an animation cell style.  But after I was done with Squirrel Girl, the real work was ahead of me.  That being the coloring of the trees and background.

To help out with that, I turned to a wonderful painting teacher: Bob Ross.  I essentially watched a bunch of his shows on painting trees and forests.  Of course, ti is different disciplines when it comes to going from oil paints to digital but I imagined that the principles would be the same.  And as things turned out, it was the same, even though I was using a mouse.

I just hope that I gave it the best justice that I could to the original creators ideas.

By the way, if you like this and want to see Oni do more, go to Oni’s Patreon Page.

Amalgam Comics - Sketch - Librium

Name: Max Calhoun [Birth Name: Erik Heidrich]
Alter Ego:  Librium

Abilities:  gravitational and magnetic manipulation
Amalgam:
          Marvel:  Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr)
          DC:  Prometheus
This was an idea that was born from a brainstorming session between myself and Miles Yagami.  Initially when I designed this Amalgam, I was thinking of merging Magneto with Two Face, but in my discussions with Miles it was suggested that I needed a different villain.  Someone who was villainous but acted with self-righteousness.  With that in mind, he suggested Prometheus from the Batman comics.  I liked it immediately and started drawing him and during a small riff session with Miles I basically came up with a rough backstory.
Back-story I thought of is a mixture of his and Erik’s. The son of Polish immigrants. He and his family got hassled, bullied and threatened a lot not only for being German but for being Jewish. Especially by a Westboro-Baptist-like group. Got worse when at a rally by these hate wackos, his powers manifested and thus the group lived up to their threats. After the death of his parents at the hands of this group, he came to the conclusion that evil like theirs must be eliminated so that which is good may flourish.  “If justice is balance,” he reasoned, “then I must act as the counterweight.”
Max eventually enters into college where he meets with Alfred Xavier, a genetics student who is working towards his PH.d.  During their time together they grow fond of each other and eventually develop a romantic/sexual relationship and learn of each other’s abilities.  But then things fall apart at an anti-meta rally.
The rally sparks memories within Max about a similar group who killed his parents.  He is about to use his abilities on the crowd but Alfred steps in.
Alfred: Max. Don’t give in to the hate like they have.

Max: No. As long as they exist, we can never be free.
And Alfred had to get in the middle of it. Max is about to rain down metal spikes on the crowd. He manages to enter Max’s mind to deflect most of them, but one is left over coming down on one protester. Alfred leaps in and is impaled through his lower back right into his spine.
After the accident, Max leaves college and creates his own group called “The Meta Fellowship“ while Alfred continues his work towards his PH.d, and creates the Xavier Academy and eventually forms “The X-ers”.

Coloring Commission - CallMePo - Desscribe - Swashing Her Buckle

Here we have a coloring commission made to me by Desscribe of a lineart they made to CallMePo

Original lineart shown here:  Swashing Her Buckle

When I saw it, I knew it was going to be a fun one to color.  I even had a few ideas for a background.  One of the ideas that I had for a background was that it would be the interior of a spaceship a bit like one of the previous coloring commissions that Desscribe had asked of me.  Or another possibility that I had in mind was something akin to Boris Vallejo’s work where the two of them would be standing on a rock and the beautiful glory of space with twinkling stars and swirling nebula gas clouds would be behind them.

Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, Desscribe could only commission me to color the two people in this picture.  The people, by the way, are Corsair and Katherine Summers: the parents of Scott and Alex Summers (Cyclops and Havoc of the X-men Comics).  So, thanks to Desscribe providing some scans of the comics where the two characters had made their appearance I had something to go on as far as coloring goes.

After it was done, all I needed to do was just put in a simple shadow and that was it.  Desscribe was happy with it so that means I did quite well.  Though I do hope that I get an opportunity to put in a background sometime in the future.

Coloring Commission - Desscribe - Warlock Babe

Here we have the latest commission that was made to me by Desscribe of a lineart that was done by CallMePo

Original Lineart shown here:  No Exposition Needed Here

From what Desscribe told me, this character is a small bit player in one issue of the comic called “Warlock”.  After I took on the commission, he sent me pictures of the comic where this character was featured.  The comic itself, I would guess was from the 80s, roughly, given the coloring scheme of it and the look of the scan itself.  Thankfully, I only had a few pieces of clothing that required the use of the original pictures, namely the belt, the collar, the gloves, the boots and the helmet.  After that, I had a fun idea of what to do about a background, that I would basically make it as the interior of a spaceship with a window looking out into the vastness of space.

And thanks to my friend Clock-heart who showed me how to do star filled backgrounds with a couple other linearts that I colored I used that to make this.

Many thanks to Desscribe for the commission and I hope to do more soon.

Also, just to remind all those out there, if you have a lineart that you want colored, send me a note and we’ll talk.

Stickymon - Amalgam Comics - Green Lantern Ch’d

This is the colored version of “Green Lantern Ch’d” that I had commissioned from Stickymon

Original seen here: Ch’d by Stickmon

It really seemed like too good of an idea to pass up since there were two squirrel themed characters in both Marvel and DC comics and I figured with the Amalgams that I’m coming up with, then why not?  But in terms of the overall look, I decided to make her a much larger anthro version of a squirrel than the original Ch'p and give this one a feminine form. I told all this to Stickymon and he did a marvelous job at giving her the look I was hoping for.  In terms of the uniform, I definitely wanted it to look more like Squirrel Girl’s uniform with the green one piece, bracers and boots.  And once again, Stickymon did wonderfully with it.

During the coloring process it was thanks to clock–heart that I managed to push a little further in my coloring abilities.   Namely going into a more comic-book-like coloring scheme with putting in the highlights in the darker shadow areas.  The reason for that is so that the highlights in the green areas of the uniform would match the highlights that Stickymon had laid out in the darker part of the uniform.

In terms of personality, I hadn’t really thought of much for Ch’d since I was more concerned about her visual look first.   But that’s not to say that I won’t make one further down the road.

Coloring Commission - CallMePo - AvX

This is another coloring commission that was made to me by Cypher3au over at DeviantArt.com.
The lineart itself was done by CallMePo.

In this particular set, I think this one was the most simple.  I think it’s becuase when it comes to coloring bare skin, all you really need are the color and the shades for it.  It’s only when clothes are added that things start to get complicated.  ALthough, not in this case since there was only the boots and the cloaks.

I mainly say this out of the third one that Cypher3au has me doing, which will be featured here very shortly.

CallMePo - MJ got your tongue

This is a colored version of a commission piece that CallMePo did for Cypher3au.

The original can be seen here:

MJ Got Your Tongue - Lineart

And once again I couldn’t help myself, I called up Cypher3au and asked him if I could color this and he said, “Sure”, and send me the high resolution version of the picture and I went to work on it. He told me of the colors that would be involved and all that. The hardest part of this one had to be coloring the Doc Ock arms because I’m not all that used to coloring in metal objects since there are so tricky to do. Either you make them look over chromed or they have a matted look like they’ve been painted over. So I’m still trying to get it just right.

The other part that I couldn’t get out was the background. Ideally, what I wanted to do was an alleyway between two brick buildings but that seemed impossible to do. Then Cypher3au had commented and suggested a place where Black Cat was going to steal something, like a diamond in a museum or something along those lines and even then that seemed impossible for me to do given my skills. So I just left it blank and called it good, or at least until I can figure out a way to get a good background in there.

So, if anyone out there has any ideas of how to put in a background, let me know.

Len Barboza - Nightcrawler’s new Uniform

This is the colored version of a new lineart that Aquarina-chan did for me.

Some of you may know that I did had something similarly done with Bokuman

The inspiration that I got for his outfit came from another deviant artist. So I’d like to thank IvyBeth and her Nightcrawler piece:

Even though something like this had already been done with bokuman I still wanted to have something like this done with the version of Nightcrawler from “X-men Evolution”. He certainly looks even more bad-ass than before, wouldn’t you all agree?

I know that there is no background for this but I was having some enormous difficulty with that. So if any of you would like to help out with that I’d appreciate it.

Drstrangebob - Miss Power and Kara Danvers

This is a colored version of the commission Ms. Power that was drawn for me by DrStrangebob

I decided to have him do more of the Amalgam comic characters that I thought of given the great job that he did on Talia Rrab. For this one I had him do Miss Power.

This particular character I wanted there to be something different as far as her disguise goes. The notion of it came up when I, like so many others, kept laughing at Superman’s idea of a disguise. That being that he would just slip on a pair of glasses and no one would recognize him. So to make fun of that, I had Miss Power’s alter ego be very different in physical attributes. Namely that she’s shorter and less busty along with how she has brown hair in opposition to Miss Power’s blonde hair, and she wears glasses on top of that. So seeing the two of them standing side-by-side like this you’d hardly suspect that they are the same person, would you?

Name: Miss Power

Alter Ego: Kara Danvers

Alter Ego Profession: Airport Lost Luggage

Team Affiliation: Avengers League (a.k.a. The League of Avengers)

Abilities: Super strength, speed, flight, X-ray vision, laser eyes, and ice breath. Energy absorption and blasts of power to be shot from her hand.

Weakness: Kree-ptonie. A piece of the planet Krypton that through unknown radiation has been given not only an opal and prismatic hue but it also has the ability to weaken Miss Marvel and with enough exposure it may be able to kill her.

Amalgam:
Marvel: Ms. Marvel
DC: Power Girl

Drstrangebob - Amalgam Comics - Talia Rrab

This is a colored version of the lineart Talia Rrab Light that was drawn by DrStrangebob as a request. He really liked the idea of a green Nightcrawler and I was quite grateful that he took on the idea. And really it does quite pop, doesn’t it?

Name: Talia Rrab

Team Affiliation: Green Lantern Corps (Sector 2815)

Species: Graxosian

Place of Origin: Graxos

Appearance: Thin green fur, two-toed and fingered feet and hands (not including thumbs), yellow eyes, and a prehensile tail.

Abilities: Prehensile Tail, Teleportation, Superhuman agility and gymnast, heightened hearing, enhanced night vision, skilled martial artist, and use of Green Lantern Power Ring.

Weakness: Due to her heightened sense of hearing she is particularly sensitive to loud sounds. A similar weakness applies to her vision that she is also very sensitive to bright light. Her teleportation is also limited to either having been to the place she’s teleporting to or being able to see it. The bulk of her weaknesses and limitations lie within the power ring which is only limited by her willpower and imagination to create the energy constructs.

Personality Talia is very light-hearted, marvelously kind, and fun loving. Which is why a lot of time she uses her ring to make fun constructs such as a forest of green energy to allow her to leap and jump through. She is also a very sexual individual which is due in part to Graxosian society (in the Amalgam Universe) which is very omnisexual and poly-amorous. Meaning that she not only mates with men and women of her own species but other sentient species as well.
