Coloring Commission - CallMePo - TexanJoe - Andrea and Kaite’s Drive Part 01

In this coloring commission from TexanJoe, we have his characters Andrea (Andromeda) and Katie (Neutrino Bombshell) decided to go out for a drive and they came to a very secluded spot in the mountains and Andrea decided to get very frisky. 

Here’s the Original:  Hot Girls on a Car

Unlike the other times where the lines were very crisp and clean, this time it’s more sketchwork that was done by Po, so it made things a little tricky as far as placement of the polygons.  But the bigger challenge was doing the background.  Joe wanted me to do a spot that was secluded and the best I can think of was that they drove out to some far out campsite that has a good view of mountains. 
After that it was a case of coloring the car, which as it turns out was a muscle car, a GTO.  Which I found to be incredibly appropriate:  a muscle car for a very muscular woman.

Coloring Commission - Cypher3au - Damn Elevators

Here is a coloring commission that was made to me by Cypher3au of a lineart that was done for him by FedGDPerry

When I looked at the picture and saw the complexity that was involved in it, I knew that it was going to be a challenge.  And I do admit that I was overwhelmed when I started the task.  For one the lineart is in a style that I had never done or experienced before.  So this provided it’s own unique challenges.  The other part that made things a little more difficult is that these characters are ones that I’m not familiar with, so I asked Cypher about them, and he told me that they were fusions of characters from the games “Mass Effect” as well as “Dragon Age”.  That answered a few questions I had but it did add another layer of challenge since I had never played either Mass Effect or Dragon Age, even though I want to.  But when you have limited budgets, getting an Xbox is pretty out of the question.  But thankfully, Cypher had some reference images of the women involved in this picture that I could use.

The one that I had the most fun with was the one at the right, Miriam Hawke, main reason was because of the holograms that she was using.  Something that I had never done before and never really had the opportunity to do.  So, I used a few techniques from making lightsabers in the creation of it.

After the others were done, it came down to the background of the elevator which wasn’t that hard, just a little base, dark colors, light colors, blurring and an overlay of the light source and there you have it.

Len Barboza - Winry and Sheska Kissing

This is a commission piece that was done for me by Aquarina-chan and colored by me.

The original line art was a little smaller than this but in the process of coloring it I was having trouble with the coloring.  So I spoke to my friend and artistic adviser Spiritto about this and she asked me to send her the photoshop file and what she did was she created a background that was just incredible.  And following her examples I recreated bits and pieces of the background.  However there was one section that I improved upon it was the reflection upon the floor.  She told me that she was having some difficulty with it so I tinkered with it and I came up with this.  Amazed she asked me how I did.  And I said that I just copied the figures above, flipped it horizontally, lowered the opacity so that it looked like a reflection and the rest was easy.

Of course this was one of the pictures that DeviantArt had deleted so I figured that I should upload it here.

Zimmay - Tokka - Height Difference

This is the colored version of the Height Difference drawn by Zimmay that I had commissioned.

I had seen similar pictures to this one before where it was Sokka and Toph kissing and Toph had earthbended a platform for herself to kiss Sokka. When you think about it, it rather is empowering in a way that she uses her talents to get close to him.

The biggest problem that I had with this was what to do with the background. Originally I thought of putting a wall there something like the walls of Ba Sing Se but then I thought of something more like the ocean and when I did that there seemed to be this mixture and fusion of Earth and Water. Such as the earth that they’re standing on and the ocean in the background. So it’s a nice meeting of Earth Kingdom and Water Tribe.

But with a picture like this I think I’ll write something as a setup.

Toph came up to Sokka.

“Can I talk to you alone, Sokka?” She asked.

“Sure, Toph.”

She had taken him to the edge of the island where they were hiding out before the time of the invasion. It was a nice spot as far as the view of the ocean but Sokka understood that Toph couldn’t see it.

“What’d you want to talk to me about?”

“Would you mind trying something with me?” She asked and Sokka could already tell that she was blushing underneath the bangs of black hair.

“Is it anew attack or something?”

“You could say that.”

“Okay sure.”

Toph moved forward towards Sokka. She stamped her foot on the ground and earthbended a platform for herself which brought her face towards the neck level of Sokka.

“What’re you doing Toph?” He asked.

She didn’t answer but instead leaned forward, pushing herself up onto her toes, and pressing her lips against Sokka’s.

The shock was so much that he could feel the heat flash through his body as if he were ice in the middle of a frying pan. He had kissed girls before. There was Suki and Princess Yue but with Toph there was something very different about it. He wasn’t sure and frankly he didn’t care anymore. He simply allowed it to happen as if he were a boat being carried out to sea.

S2X - Haruka and Michiru - "The Kiss"

This one is another lineart piece that I commissioned of the wonderfully talented S2X and it’s of the Sailor Senshi, Uranus and Neptune, or at they’re also known as Haruka Tenou and Michiru Kaioh.  The idea that I had in mind behind this one when I had approached S2X with the idea came to me from a photograph called “The Kiss” by Tanya Chalkin.

Seeing the picture made me think of Haruka and Michiru and I figured that I’d have S2X do it since he’s very good when it comes to more complicated poses like this one.

From a coloring standpoint, this one was fairly easy since both Haruka and Michiru have the same skin tone.  From there there was the hair and then the bedsheets.  Then again with the way that the photograph was it took in the simplicity of the pose and the background.  So really there was no need to overwhelm the viewer’s eye.
