Karla Diaz - My Ship, My Goblin Harem - Brigit the Security Officer

Hello again, everyone, here is the newest in the Goblin Harem series for the story "My Ship, My Goblin Harem", by DieselJester

Here we have Brigit, the tactical and security officer drawn by Karla Diaz.

Given the personality of this particular goblin lady the idea was pretty clear.  DieselJester and I came up with the idea of posing her on the ship's gangplank with two guns, one in the holster and the other in her hand.  All the while she was giving the finger.

There's one more to come in this series of Goblin lady artwork, everyone. So, keep your eyes open and be sure to support me and the various artists that helped bring this to life:

Karla Diaz - My Ship, My Goblin Harem - Poppy the Comm's Officer

Hello again, everyone, here is the newest in the Goblin Harem series for the story "My Ship, My Goblin Harem", by DieselJester.

Here we have Poppy, the sensors and communications officer.

The idea behind this piece was already clear in the mind of my friend, that she should be posed in her chair near the console that she works at. And she would be looking at the viewer with a very seductive look at crooking her finger as if she wants you (or rather the captain of the ship) to come and have her.

Coloring Poppy was the easy part given how I had DieselJester letting me know what color each part of her would be, but the only tricky part was the background. I knew already that it needed to look like the interior of a spaceship bridge, so I had to use a lot of the color pallets from various images in order to get it right. Yet, as my friend, Hooksnfangs, likes to tell me: "Don't overthink your background". So, once I was done with the layout, I just left it at that.

CallMePo - Kim Possible's Alone TIme

A while back on Twitter, a creator I follow, Phillipthe2, showed off a sketch that CallMePo did of Kim Possible and with that it was shown some clean line artwork that was done over that. I was so impressed by the work that I contacted Phillip and asked if I could color it. They agreed and I was given the high-resolution version of the image. Coloring her was pretty easy, but the background was the harder part. So, I went back to some screenshots of the series to see if I could find anything. And with the little shots, I could find I used that for the bed, floor, and the wall.

Almost looks like the real thing, wouldn't you say?

CallMePo - Gogo's Pajama Challenge

A while ago on Twitter, CallMePo did a sketch of Gogo in what was called the Pajama Challenge.

Shown here:  Gogo Pajama Challenge

After seeing it, I asked if I could color it, and he agreed and, well, it stayed in my computer for a while given all the things that started to spiral out of control with my regular job.  But with the time that I was able to get off, I worked on them and this is what I've gotten so far.

Cynaria - Blood Elf Warrior Aergia

It's been far too long since I've uploaded anything new.  Here we have a colored line art done by Cynaria of one of my many Warcraft characters; the Blood Elf Warrior Aergia.

When I finished coloring the body, I knew that the biggest challenge lied ahead; the background.  Given that I did know that I wanted it to be the background of the Blood Elf character selection.  In doing that, I have to thank my friend Hooksnfangs in helping out with some pointers about it.

And my thanks to Cynaria for the artwork they did on this.

Coloring Commission - CallMePo - Ragnsmoo - They're Huge

I realize that I haven't been posting lately but then again, there are things going on in life that has been holding back a little bit.  You know, there are a lot of other things that needed to take higher priority.  But I took on a coloring commission of this piece that was commissioned by Ragnsmoo to CallMePo.  The characters here are ones that Ragnsmoo had made as part of the game Final Fantasy XIV Online.

If you've been following the work I've done you'll know that they've shown up before.  Such as here:

Coloring Commission - CallMePo - Ragnsmoo - Ragns trying to convince Tsukie to let it all hang out

Coloring Commission - CallMePo - RagnsMoo - Ragns

It is because of all the other things that had been going on in life that it had taken me so much longer than normal to complete this piece.  But in the end I think that taking my time with it had paid off in more ways than one.  Initially, I thought that they'd be on the beach together, much like in the other piece that I colored.  But I was told that what Tsukie (The smaller one) was wearing was underwear and that made the shift from the beach to the bedroom.

The original artwork didn't really have a title to it, but I couldn't help myself in adding one of my own as far as Tsukie (the one on the right) and her response to Ragns (the one on the left).  Because really what other things could one say when confronted with a pair of breasts that easily look like floatation devices?  (giggle)

Thank you Ragnsmoo for commissioning me.

Coloring Commission - Ketsuga - Rudeboy308 - Velma's interview

Recently, I was commissioned by the wonderful Rudeboy308 for another piece of one of the employees of Rudeboy308 HQ.  This time it is Velma from "Scooby-Doo".  When I was handed this commission I had a few ideas of what I could do with it but given the pose that she was in I decided that the best background to give her was one where it looked like she climbed up onto the desk to show off herself.  Once I had that in mind I knew that she also needed to say something.  And after a few back and forths with Rudeboy, the line of "Jinkies, I'm so wet...I mean glad to work here."

The original line art of which was done by Ketsuga

Coloring Commission - Rudeboy308 - Ketsuga - Rude Bakery Pinup

Here is the newest coloring commission that was given to me by the marvelous Rudeboy308.  This one was a pinup promotion for RudeHQ Bakery drawn by Ketsuga.  When I originally saw the piece I coudln't help but have a flashback of an old movie I once saw called "Taking Care of Business" with James Belushi where he had taken on the identity of an advertising executive.  And during a tennis match, and on the phone with someone who was asking for a slogan for a baking company, he was eyeing a woman in the next tennis court and uttered the phrase "Check out those buns".  And it was with that line that I came up with that for this.

The only really hard part of this was coloring the cake.  But I do think that it came out rather well.

My thanks to Rudeboy308 for allowing me this opportunity.

ArtByCynaria - Alexstrasza wants to show off

Here is a piece taht probably took me the longest to do but with good reason given the detail of it.

This piece was done by a wonderful Warcraft style artist named Cynaria.  I first came across them on HentaiFoundry and saw them on Tumblr (before the Tumblr Purge and the subsequent migration to Twitter).  And I wanted to have them do a Warcraft piece and so I had them do one of a character that I think we all like to see a lot more of; the Life Binder, Alexstrasza.

The process of coloring her took the longest between doing regular life stuff and then trying to do the regular coloring.  The details that were done for this one were exquisitely fine and I knew that it demanded that I do equally fine detail work with my colors.  This is especially true to the armor pieces on the head, the gauntlets, the leggards, the bra and panties.

After doing all that, what was left was doing the background and what I wanted to do was the sky of Dragonblight in Northrend.  Specifically from the top of Wyrmrest Temple.  Essentially a cold blue sky, stars and the auroras.

When it was done, I had to show it to Cynaria who loved it immensely.  So much so that I felt so incredibly honored that such an artist would think that the coloring work that I had done was that good.

My thanks to you and the work you did, Cynaria.

Kinkymation - Animated Harem Lilith

My apologies everyone, I had been meaning to upload this one for quite a while.  Another animated harem piece of the character Lilith.  This one was done by an artist that I had come across on HentaiFoundry.  And what can I say?  It’s become something of a pattern for me that I find artists and I have them draw the characters from my animated harem and I see how they do.  In this case it was the artist named Kinkymation.  I sent them a message asking them to do Lilith and basically what I wanted was something that was adorable and sexy at the same time.  A hard combination, I know, but I think once it was all done it was expertly executed.

To see the original lineart, here’s the link:  Lilith Lineart Commission

The hard part was now on me to make a decent background for her.  ANd like before with the others I had done by @blushmallet I needed to do something that was similar; basically old style stone/brick and mortar to give it an old world castle feeling.

This time I did some experimenting with texturizing the stone to make it look like it had been there for a long time.  Basiclaly putting in nicks and scrapes into the stone.  Then after that, giving it the yellowish torchlight in the background of which I added a very light yellowish overlay to make the room look like it was being lit by the torches.

My thanks to Kinkymation for their work on this.

RoninDude - Devil Girl 2

Here we have a coloring that I had done of a piece done by RoninDude

Here’s the original:  Devil Girl 2 WIP by RoninDude

When I first saw the original, I’m not sure what it was I felt but I liked it immediately and I wanted to color it.  I basically wanted to add life and vibrancy to what I was seeing.  So after getting permission from RoninDude to do it, I set about my task.  However, after I was done with the first set of colors, I looked at it and then I wondered, “What would she be like if her skin was tan….or maybe if her hair were blue?”  So with that in mind, I did different versions of this devil girl, with different skin tones and different hair colors.  Although, I did keep her wings and tail the same color, but I figured, “Why not?”

So with that I went with the various color pallets.  Hope all of you like it.

My thanks to RoninDude for allowing me to color it.

BlushMallet - Virgin Killer Sweater Elsa

I realize that I might be a little late with this meme but I don’t care because really it seemed like no one else was doing this character in this sweater so I took it upon myself to have it done.  So I contacted @blushmallet to have it done.

For those of you who don’t know, for a while now there’s been images circulating the internet of a very peculiar type of sweater.  Shown here:

I don’t know the original name of it, I only know the meme name it has come to be called:  The Virgin Killer sweater.  Horrible name in my opinion.  I’d call it, “The Sexy Back Sweater”.  But that’s just me.

Anyway, after I made the commission to BlushMallet, they delivered marvelously.  But next came the challenge of coloring her and giving her a background.  As for the color of the sweater itself I figured that I should use the color of Elsa’s original ice dress, the ice blue in other words.

After that I decided upon a background.  In a way I wanted to harken back to the first in the “animated harem” series in which I colored a background that looked a little like Elsa’s ice castle.

Though I do admit that I copied the sky and stars from that picture.  Mainly due to time and also to give the picture a certain connecting point.

And it wouldn’t be Elsa without the addition of snow and snowflakes added to it.

My thanks once again to @blushmallet for the wonderful work they’ve done.  Thank you so much.

Stickymon - Bishoujo Freddy Krueger

This a commission that I had made to @stickymonart a while ago when he opened up commissions.  I asked him to do a lineart and I would add the colors and background.

The reason why I chose Bishoujo Freddy Krueger was as a companion piece to one that I had StickyMon do a while back; Bishoujo Jason Voorhees.

I essentially asked stickyMon to do something similar with this.  Do a picture of Bishoujo Freddy and post her being sexy.  And like always, StickyMon had delivered and delivered well.  Next it was on me to bring her to life with color.  Coloring her was the easy part.  The harder part was doing the background because I wanted it to have a connection to the “Nightmare on Elm Street” movies.  Or rather the first movie since that one was the scariest.  And so I turned to my friend @ivalinajadenewandimproved who is a big aficionado and connoisseur when it comes to horror films.  So, with her advice, I went ahead with my idea for the background; bricks, pipes and using a little blood splatter and yellow mist/steam.

With it finished, I now have some funny ideas for comics involving the Bishoujo versions meeting the original.

Such as the Bishoujo Jason Voorhees would meet the original in the forests of Crystal Lake and she would say, “HEY!  You killed everyone in the last 10 movies.  Let someone else have a chance.”
The other idea is that Bishoujo Freddy Krueger would meet the original in the steam tunnels/boiler room and the original Freddy would look her up and down and just say “Nice hat”.

Berelince - Mavis Dracula

What we have here is a new commission that was done for me by Berelince, a rather tasteful pinup of Mavis Dracula from “Hotel Transylvania”.   Initially when I made the lineart commission to her I was thinking that I would only get Mavis by herself and I would have to fill in the background myself.  And low and behold, Berelince went above and beyond the call of duty with this piece.  She put in a reclining couch for Mavis as well as some curtains and candle holders behind her.  Looking it over, I knew instantly from a coloring standpoint that I had my work cut out for me.  But I was in no rush so I took my time and went over it little by little by little.

Coloring Mavis was the easy part, the harder parts came in the couch and the candle holders.  And that took quite a lot of time to do.  Because instead of doing it like I usually do with only the polygon lasso tool I held the base area of color and just shaded in each part with the brush tool.

Then came the candle holder, clicking in the area for the holder itself took quite a long time to do and a little longer when it came to the shading but it was worth it.

Finally, I added in a little shading and light layers to give it that “candle lit look”.
Even Berelince herself was impressed by the work I had done with the coloring.

And I hope all of you do as well.

Note: All character(s) depicted here are 18 years of age or older.   Seriously, Mavis is 118 in the first film and 123 in the second.  SO THERE!

Coloring Commission - Cypher3au - Miranda Lawson

Here is a coloring commission that was made to me by one of my more regular commissioners, Cypher3au, of a sketch that was done by CallMePo.  Essentially what Po was doing was a series of “Quick-n-Dirty sketches” and a lot of them were incredible and among them was a batch done for Cypher3au.

Here’s the original:  Quick-N-Dirty Sketches - Miranda Lawson

Among the three that Cypher3au had given to me, this one was probably the most difficult because of how a lot of the picture was sketched in, or darkened in, and so I essentially had to go in and color it.  What made it extra tricky was how I was doing this over the holidays of Christmas and New Years.  But it was during New Years Eve that I managed to finish it.  So in essence, this piece is the last picture of 2015.

So with that in mind, I say to all of you “Happy New Year” and let us hope that the next year will be better.

Coloring Commission - Desscribe - Battle Damaged Diane

This is one of the newest coloring commissions that I received from Desscribe.  It was right after @callmepo did his “Quick-n-dirty sketch” session.  Where he basically did quick drawings of whatever commission came in.  This is one that Desscribe chose.

When he sent it to me, he told me that it was of a character from the anime “Seven Deadly Sins”.  I had only heard about the series on Netflix but I didn’t know much about it.  But after seeing this character, I needed to do a little research about her in order to color her.  And I was quite intrigued by what I read and coloring her was quite easy.  Well, up to her….glove…I guess you could call it.  The way it’s colored in the series is that it has the appearance of a bandage with the way there is that zig-zagging of the shading lines.

Harder part was coloring the torn up edges of the clothes.  And that gets me to think about all those times I’ve seen clothes rip WAY too easily in anime.  It was then that my heart goes out to the colorists who have to color those tiny little pieces of cloth.

Tokajero - Fairy Tail - Virgo’s Bikini

Here we have the colored version of the Virgo Lineart done by Tokajero.  Initially when I found the lineart, Virgo seemed to be way far back from the foreground so I had to essentially shrink the canvas in photoshop so that she became the more dominant figure in the picture.

Coloring her was a challenge given how thin the lines were in the picture but I think I managed to do well with it.  The eyes, however, were another issue.  In the original Fairy Tail anime, Virgo’s eyes are very different from other characters in that she has no eye highlight like what other characters have.  Instead, her eyes are just round and blue and staring almost like a doll.  And when I tried to replicate this, it just didn’t look right to me, so I had to add her eye highlight in order to give her a more complete look.

And speaking of complete, the background I borrowed inspiration from this picture:  Fairy Tail Guild Flag by Mak003.  I borrowed the look in terms of the color and the highlights on the flag but everything else I had to do on my own.

I know all of you will enjoy this because there’s nothing better than Fairy Tail cheesecake, right?

Zet13 - Lacey (Shadows) Is Still Being Racy

This is the colored version of Lacey Shadows that was drawn by Zet13 that I commissioned of him.  It was a while ago when he was running what was called a “Toon Commission sale”.  The premise of which is that anyone wanting to commission him could only choose characters from “western animations”, so anime, video games and live action was out.   And given how lengthy my own list of ideas was, I knew that I had something in there that would fit the bill and here it was:  Lacey Shadows from “The Modifyers”  or rather “The Modifuckers” as was popularized by Zone-archives.

After the drawing was done, I did ask Zet to let me know which clothing items were which becuase it was a little tricky to tell what was what in the lineart.  And thanks to him, he sent me a version of the picture where the items were labeled.
With a guide in mind, I went to coloring her immediately.  With this picture I did a couple of experiments in terms of the coloring process, namely with the clothes, underneath each clothing item I added a unique shadow layer for that one item at a layer opacity level of 25% and filled it with black.  This in turn gave it a transparent shadow appearance but when combined with other shadow layers that had a similar opacity setting it gave that look of shadow layering where things get darker when shadows are laying on top of other shadows.

For the background, I had to refer to both the original and the Zone-archives version for inspiration.  And admittedly I borrowed a design from one of them.  1000 points to whoever can figure out which scene.  But the idea is that I needed it to have that “fabulous” or “swingin’ sixties” look to it and this was the best that could be done given the abilities I have.

Anyway, everyone, hope you like this one.

CallMePo - Sexy Bending Student

This is the colored version of “Sexy Bending Student” that was drawn by CallMePo as a commission to cubedhead-studio

Original version: Sexy Bending Student Sketch
I saw it and immediately I wanted to ink and color it.

In coloring this one, I decided to use the colors of Korra’s original outfit, the light blues, dark blues, tans and browns. I think it came out rather well.

CallMePo - Sailor Uranus Relieves Sailor Pluto

This is the colored version of the Dark Side of Pluto lineart that was done by CallMePo and was commissioned by Cypher3au.

I saw it and I immediately wanted to color it.  Namely because I’m a fan of Sailor Uranus and I do like seeing some girl/girl action from time to time.  So I called up Cypher3au and asked about it and he sent me the high resolution version of the picture.  In addition to it, he also told me that he wanted to have the Gates of Time as a background but for some reason didn’t do it.  And he also told me about how there would be some mist around them.

So with that in mind, I went about coloring it.

I will say that Sailor Pluto is the hardest to color in terms of her uniform as well as her hair color because in the television series it’s like her color pallet changes from episode to episode.  But from what I’ve gathered is that her fuku (uniform) has a very dark purple to it’s skirt and boots and so on, as well as a rust color for it’s bow.  Then, of course, there was her hair which seems to be a dark green from the research that I’ve done on it. Compared to that, Sailor Uranus was so much easier to do.

The same can be said for the Gates of Time background.  I just used a picture that Cypher3au had provided for me and told me that he found it at the page of ChronosCat.
