For this, we have, in the ongoing series, the next page in the DrGraevling coloring book.

This page wasn't as hard to color as the others, at least until it came to the background. I knew that with the tavern's construction it was going to basically be wood in every direction. This meant that I needed a lot of variations of wood colors in order to make it look like a tavern.

But of course, my favorite part was doing the different kinds of skin tones. I do so love to have diversity in the work that I do.

Cammy White by IGFalcon colored

A while back, I had come across this piece done by IGFalcon and I took up the challenge of coloring her and this is what I came up with.

Coloring Cammy was the easy part but coloring the background was the tougher part.  The reason for that is because I wanted to make the background look like Cammy's stage where two are fighting at a castle and there's an aurora borealis going on in the background.  I think that this is such a great idea becuase it seems like even nature herself is giving praise to Cammy's ass.

KindaHornyArt - Star-tan

A while ago I had been noodling with the idea of creating a mascot or a spokes-character for my art and my art blog itself.  Given the name that I”ve published all my works under I decided to call her “Star-Tan”.  Reason for the “Tan” part is a little more involved.  It goes back to how various artists had personified certain computer operating systems, giving them names and appearances that match the operating system.  There was Windows 3-tan, Windows 7-tan, and even a few for others programs like Linux-tan and OS 9-tan.  But the biggest personification came from Zone-Archives with “Zone-tan” who was essentially the spokesgirl for Zone-Archives. 

I do admit that on the surface it does look like I’m using a similar tactic but the idea of it seemed too good to pass up.  I don’t want to use the word “steal” for the idea because really no one ever has a monopoly on an idea.  Plus, if one were to have a spokescharacter for their blog, who would turn it down? 

Anyway, the artist KindaHornyArt had opened up some commissions and I had decided to throw this one at them just to see how they would interpret Star-Tan.  And this was the result.

Clock-heart - Collaboration - Sonic Fan Character - Kalahari the Kangaroo Rat

This is the Sonic Fan Character that was designed by Clock-heart and myself. When designing the fan characters for my own team we had reached the conclusion that within each group of three there is usually a strength character (example: Knuckles the Echidna), a flight character (Tails the Fox) and a speed character (Sonic the Hedgehog).

So, keeping this formula in mind we’ve already come up with two character types. First the flight character, Shivers the Penguin, and the strength character, Jub the Grizzly. So that leaves the speed character and thanks to clock-heart we picked the kangaroo rat for the speed character.

In terms of her design, I basically wanted a character that was rather brash and tomboy-ish. Thus the reason why the only real clue that you have that Kalahari is a girl is her eyelashes.
It was also during that same night of collaborative creativity that clock-heart also drew up the second picture that you see here.  And giving it to me I set about digitally drawing it. Although the whole experience did make me wish that I had a Wacom Bamboo Tablet or something similar so that way I don’t have to be so careful when using my mouse to trace over the lines. I wish to sincerely thank cl0ckh3art for her collaboration on this.

Spiritto - StarDragon77 Fursona

This is a fursona that was designed for me by Spiritto.

I watched her on a streaming where she was making a bird fursona for another person.  And I wanted something done for me.  So after talking with her and answering a few questions she asked, she determined that my best animal for my fursona would be a wolf.  And so, I waited with great anticipation for the first one.  I like how she drew me writing and working at late hours of the night, which I do quite a lot of. 
After she did that, I wanted another and that was when she made the second one. 
I personally like how this one came out.

Bokuman - R.O.D. the TV - Maggie Mui

This was another commission piece that was done for me by Bokuman.

Since he did such a wonderful job with Maggie Mui, I asked him to do another one

I had asked Bokuman if I could color it and post it here, and according to his commission policy it said it was perfectly alright.  And little did I know that applying my cel-like coloring style would flesh it out so much.

The other part that I was agonizing over was what to color the square background behind Maggie Mui.  I tried using the color I used before, but I didn’t want to be repetative, so I went with different colors.   Such as the red that you see, as well as green, yellow, orange, and purple.  All of them just didn’t seem to fit very well, so I just went with red.

By the way, a note to the D.A. Tattletales - Maggie Mui is 22 years old.  So keep that in mind.

S2X - Haruka and Michiru - "The Kiss"

This one is another lineart piece that I commissioned of the wonderfully talented S2X and it’s of the Sailor Senshi, Uranus and Neptune, or at they’re also known as Haruka Tenou and Michiru Kaioh.  The idea that I had in mind behind this one when I had approached S2X with the idea came to me from a photograph called “The Kiss” by Tanya Chalkin.

Seeing the picture made me think of Haruka and Michiru and I figured that I’d have S2X do it since he’s very good when it comes to more complicated poses like this one.

From a coloring standpoint, this one was fairly easy since both Haruka and Michiru have the same skin tone.  From there there was the hair and then the bedsheets.  Then again with the way that the photograph was it took in the simplicity of the pose and the background.  So really there was no need to overwhelm the viewer’s eye.

Goodbye, Blogspot

To my loyal followers and watchers.  Today, I've officially decided to retire my blogspot page.  My reasons are as follows:  I don't publish here as much as I used to and what's more it's because uploading images is such a pain to do with blogspot.  I don't know if anyone else has experienced this where you upload several images and try to insert them into your post but there are times when it won't do it and so it becomes one hassle after the other. 

It is because of this reason that I've moved my posts to Tumblr.  A site that is far easier to use and far better to upload to. 

So, I ask all of you, if you want to see more of what I do then please, come to Tumblr and enjoy all the artwork and colorings and cosplays because I know that I won't be able to stop.
