Mackie85 - Princess Daisy colored

 Here we have a new colored line art of one of the many line arts done by the marvelous Mackie85

After coloring Princess Daisy, I did want to do the same thing that Mackie85 did with their background but I wanted to do something different.  Namely, I didn't want to do the box that she was sitting on in the pic that Mackie85, so I went with one of my favorite symbols in Mario; the star.  And anyone whose played Super Mario Bros, especially the original ones knows that when you get the star, that's when the real fun starts because you can just mow through your enemies without any worry.

Coloring Commission - CallMePo - Desscribe - EC Girls Sarah and Della

This is the newest set of coloring commissions that was given to me by Desscribe of a line art that was done by CallMePo.

Like before, Desscribe had CallMePo do artwork based off of the old EC Comics.  The one on the left is Sarah (featured in Crime SuspenStories #17) and the one on the right is Della (featured in Weird Science #19).  One again, coloring them in their nude form was easy but coloring them when they're in the frilly lingerie was a lot harder.  Mainly because of all those curves, crevices and other tiny spaces.  Doing all this using a mouse and the polygon lasso tool can be a little hard on the hand but the end result is worth it.

But I want to thank Desscribe for commissioning me for this piece and thanks to CallmePo for allowing me to color his work.

Mackie85 - Princess Peach Pinup Colored

A while ago, one of the artists that I watch, Mackie85 had posted a new lineart that immediately caught my eye.

This was the lineart:  Peach Princess Lineart

A pinup of Princess Peach.  I immediately wanted to color it, but I couldn’t get to it right away because I had coloring commissions that needed to be done.

By the time I was ready to do this one, Mackie85 had already done his own colored version of the picture:  Princess Peach.

I liked it but in doing my own, I wanted to do things differently.  So, I did use the colors he used as a guide but I went in a different direction as far as shading as well as a background.  Such as what I wanted to do for the background was do a small nod to the original, the first Super Mario Bros game, where Mario comes in and rescues Peach.   So, using that, I laid down the grid work for the bricks that many of us are familiar with when it comes to World 8.  And using a pixelated font, I threw in those lines in the background that many of us had seen Peach speak:  "Thank you, Mario!  Your quest is over.“  How many of us were cheering when we finally beat the game?

Anyway, I left the top bricks the same but the bottom, I wanted there to be a sense of depth to her rather than her just sitting in an empty space with the 8-bit background behind her.  If that makes sense.

Mackie85 - Pin-up Vanessa Colored

Since I had colored one of Mackie85′s pieces before; Princess Daphne Colored, I decided to try my hand at a few other linearts that Mackie85 had done. 

The one that caught my eye were these two:  Pin-up Vanessa lineart version 1 and PIn-up Vanessa Lineart version 2. 

Of course, with Mackie85′s permission, I went ahead and did it.  Thankfully, it was a pretty easy piece to do.  And since there wasn’t that much difference in the lineart, all I had to do was overlay one version of the lineart over the colors that I had laid out. 

So I’d like to thank Mackie85 for allowing me the opportunity to color this.  Thanks much. 

CallMePo - Teacher’s New Pet

This is the colored version of “Teachers New Pet” that was drawn by CallMePo and commissioned to him by CDB2

In taking on this one, what would be tricky is Gwen because I didn’t know who she was. So i talked to CDB2 about who she was and where she was from. With that information I set about gathering the information needed to color her. Namely the pallet that I would be using for her. The part that was the most tricky was her shirt because it was three different colors. Thanks to the layer lock ability of photoshop, I just did it all in one color, did the shading and then recolored only those specific areas. Although, at the end, I made the underwear white, but as CDB2 pointed out to me, they were purple as seen in this clip: [link]

I’d like to thank CDB2 for giving me the opportunity to color this.

Bokuman - Bunny Girl - Ruby Rae

This is the colored version of the Ruby Rae Lineart that Bokuman did for me.

This one is another in the long line of pieces that I had done for the women of the Moonlight Bunny Ranch. This time this one is named Ruby Rae. In my discussions with her she didn’t exactly request anything specific except for the outfit which was a combination of black and very light purple that had a nearly transparent quality to it.

That was the tricky part but thanks to the fact that I could control the opacity of the paint in Photoshop I had managed to lay down that transparent look to it. On the other hand another way to have done it is to turn down the opacity levels of the layers themselves but it seemed easier to do it with the paint.

Moonlite Bunny Ranch

Bokuman - Bunny Girl - Willow Love

This is the colored version of Willow Love lineart drawn by Bokuman

She’s another in a series of women from the Moonlite Bunny Ranch that I wanted to do fan art of.

When I had initially spoken to Willow she already had a specific idea in mind for how she wanted her fan art version to look. She wanted to be dressed in a black corset with a whip. To give me a better idea of it she sent me pictures of the corset itself.

Then I also heard the news recently that she was leaving the Bunny Ranch, for good from what I understand, so really this is not only a gift art but also a farewell piece for her.

I also know that she loves the pic since she had told me herself personally.
