JulyViolet - Cami Parker Superhero

 This piece, drawn by JulyViolet, I feel was an incredible honor for me.  A while back, I had spoken several times with a professional from the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, by the name of Cami Parker, and I found them once again on Twitter.  And so we spoke back and forth and showed them the new art that I commission and color and they wanted to have something done of them again, similar to what was done of the piece drawn by Bokuman.  

The idea that we discussed came up with how I'm a huge fan of the superhero genre and superhero stories.  And I often like to see folks cosplay as superheroes and I brought this up with Cami and they said that they'd love to see that done for her.  However, designing a suit is always hard to do, so I went to the closest thing that I have for a superhero suit designer; the character creation engine in "DC Universe Online".  The premise that she wanted was for her superhero self to have a pink suit, sparkly, and for it to be sparkly.  

So with that in mind, I came up with this in DC Universe online:

I gave it to them and they loved it and so I gave it over to JulyViolet and they drew up the line art.  Coloring it was pretty easy in addition to using a few techniques and tricks for highlights and other types of shading for this.

Coloring COmmission - Rudeboy308 - Merry Christmas from Rudeboy308HQ

In another commission made to me by Rudeboy308, we have one of Beth making her own christmas greeting.  The line art itself was done by CallMePo and I have to say that coloring this one was a lot of fun to do what with it being Christmas Eve.  Of course, there was another version of this picture that was colored by somoene else so I had to think of something different for it.  So, in talking with Rudeboy, it was suggested that I make the background look like a display for a Mall Santa.  So, after looking around various pictures of displays, I found one and tried to model it after that.  Making a red house with green trim, a candy cane like pole for "The North Pole", and, of course, a sign saying "Santa's Workshop" because Beth has some better gifts for the mom's and dad's out there.  Especially for the ladies who work at Rudeboy308HQ. 

But after it was done, I felt like there needed to be something more.  Such as, I wanted there to be a little writing on it saying "Merry Christmas".  After that was done, I said, "this is good."

Coloring Commission - Rudeboy308 and CallMePo - Mizuki upstages Naga

In the newest commission piece given to me by Rudeboy308, it had him with the top member of RudeboyHQ308, Mizuki upstaging Naga in her own outfit. 

This one took a little longer to do than normal due to the holiday season and having to go through a lot of the 9 to 5 nonsense.  However, I did keep at it, little by little.  Once it was done, I had a few ideas that I threw into it.  Namely that they woudl be in the hallway of a convention on their way to a cosplay convention.  Initially, the plan was to have the background be like a cityscape but when I put forth the idea of a cosplay contest, Rudeboy308 jumped at that and loved it. 

I even thew in a word bubble and a small anger mark for good measure.

Coloring Commission - CallMePo/DaCommissioner - Crystal and Diedre 2

Recently, DaCommissioner had asked me to color a follow-up piece to Crimson Patroller and Crystal.  The piece was relatively the same in the overall setup but the added challenge to it all was that it was asked that I could have it done before Halloween.  Time crunch, wouldn't you say? 

The artwork was done by CallMePo.  

But it all worked out in the end.

IGFalcon - She Hulk Colored

Among my favorite artists that I like to color their line art is IGFalcon whom I've known from DeviantArt for quite a few years.  And recently, they did this piece of She-Hulk.  Granted they already did a colored version of her, but I couldn't quite help myself and want to do my own colored version as well.  The coloring pallet was probably one of the simplest I had done but it took me the longest due to the fact that real life often likes to yank you away from the things that you want to do.  I know all of us have been there.

The is the colored version of Bokuman’s Lineart 0004

Bokuman - R.O.D. the TV - Maggie Mui

This was another commission piece that was done for me by Bokuman.

Since he did such a wonderful job with Maggie Mui, I asked him to do another one

I had asked Bokuman if I could color it and post it here, and according to his commission policy it said it was perfectly alright.  And little did I know that applying my cel-like coloring style would flesh it out so much.

The other part that I was agonizing over was what to color the square background behind Maggie Mui.  I tried using the color I used before, but I didn’t want to be repetative, so I went with different colors.   Such as the red that you see, as well as green, yellow, orange, and purple.  All of them just didn’t seem to fit very well, so I just went with red.

By the way, a note to the D.A. Tattletales - Maggie Mui is 22 years old.  So keep that in mind.
